Each year Bishop Kevin Vann awards someone from each Catholic school in our Diocese with the Catholic Schools Service Award. This award is given to those who sustain and enhance the spiritual and academic lives of our schools. This year, Holy Trinity will be honoring Fr. Richard Eldredge and the pastors of Holy Trinity’s two other supporting parishes.
Fr. Richard was joined by Fr. Anh Tran of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Msgr. Phil Johnson and Fr. John Swistovich of St. Michael Catholic Church, and honored at the 25th Annual Celebration of Catholic Schools banquet. This celebration, which was hosted by Bishop Vann, on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the Ft. Worth Convention Center. It kicked off National Catholic Schools Week, which was celebrated Jan. 29 through Feb. 5, 2012.
It is through Fr. Richard’s dedication and commitment to Holy Trinity Catholic School that we formed the Parish Partnership Project to secure a debt restructure from Diocese of Ft. Worth and were able to offer more funds for tuition assistance for more Good Shepherd families. We are blessed to have the support of Fr. Richard and are pleased to name him as this year’s Catholic Schools Honoree.
