Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.   Matthew 7:7-8

Interested in learning more about the Catholic Church?

Have you been coming to Mass for a while, but are not Catholic? Has your spouse or friend been coming to Good Shepherd but can't receive communion because they aren't Catholic?   Do you simply want to learn more about the Catholic Church?  Do you know someone who grew up without any faith or church at all?   We invite you and hope you will extend the invitation to others to take a deeper look into the Catholic faith.

Come meet some faithful Catholics who love the Lord and would consider it a privilege to get to know you.  Our parish will soon begin a set of sessions to share with others the truths of the Catholic faith and the fellowship of our church family. We invite you to learn what Catholics believe in an open and welcoming environment. These sessions also are opportunities for you to ask those perplexing and difficult questions you may have about the Catholic Church.

The next inquiry session will be
February 27, 2012

This is an informal time to come and seek answers to your questions.
We are excited to meet you!

Childcare is available during inquiry sessions.  Childcare registration is required one week before each session.  Click here for available dates.
What should I expect if I participate in RCIA?
All of the preparation for joining the Church is done at Good Shepherd Catholic Community. The process begins with a period of inquiry followed by a period of faith formation. There is no commitment required. The inquiry phase provides the opportunity to ask questions and get some basic information. If someone decides to continue in the process, he or she enters the faith formation phase. A person not Baptized in a Christian Faith is considered a Catechumen during this phase. A person Baptized in another Christian Faith Tradition wanting to join the Catholic Church is considered a candidate for full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.
