Middle Ministries is Good Shepherd’s youth ministry for those in 5-8th grade: it includes Faith Formation, fun events, retreats and service to the community!
Faith Formation Options for 2018-2019
- BRIDGE (5-6th grade) is a weekly gathering that consists of large group games, engaging talks and demonstrations, and intentional fellowship, discussion and community in small groups. Each small group consists of up to 12 youth and 2 small group leaders. Bridge meets Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00 pm. If you volunteer for Bridge and have kids in YDA, sign up for YDA Track A.
- FAITH AND LIFE is the “Home Study” option. In this option, youth work through the material at their own pace with their parent. It includes lessons, quizzes, and occasional research projects. Home Study families are asked to participate in “Community Nights” during the year, which consist of community building and potluck dinner.
You may choose from:
Online—each student receives a unique login and completes all material online through My Catholic Faith Delivered. All progress is tracked automatically. Certificate of Completion must be turned in at the end of the year.
Textbook—Each student receives a Student Textbook and Workbook and must turn in the book at the end of the year.
- DECISION POINT is offered on alternate Sundays from 9:30-10:45 am (coincides with YDA Sunday Track A). It is a combination of short videos, workbook, and discussion with parents and peers. One parent must be in attendance each week to sign up for this option.
